We have been approached by a consultant who assists law firms and
corporations in negotiations with online services vendors. As I understand
it, they examine past invoices to look at usage patterns, contract type, and
costs. They compare this with other similar model contracts and then coach
the firm in their negotiations with the vendor. They get paid on a
contingency fee based on savings.
Has anyone used this type of service? Comments? I'll summarize for the
list.
