Lexis vs. Westlaw

If you have been in a position in which you had to evaluate these two
competitors, please let me know. I have been accused of saying doing
caselaw searches on Westlaw is better (my own experience as a researcher).
What baffles me about this is that, I praise news and other searches on
Lexis all the time (in fact, I'm a Lexis user first). My opinion is that,
both have different strengths and weeknesses, and I believe both vendors
should respect my opinion as a researcher. They should not take it
personal, but should retain the absolute right to proof otherwise. I don't
want to be caught in the middle of Westlsaw and Lexis, but as a firm
librarian, it may be unavoidable. My job is to get the best tools for my
firm, by looking at what suits our practice and pocket. More content does
not equal better, cost must be taken into consideration. Thanks folks.
