The Wyoming State Law Library is seeking a person with enthusiasm to join its team as Public Services Law Librarian to coordinate all functions/staff relating to information services, reference, circulation, and stack maintenance.
The position is housed in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Cheyenne is a town of approximately 58,000. It is about 2 hours north of Denver with all the opportunities offered by a major metropolitan area (e.g. museums, zoo, professional sports) yet it retains a small town feel and advantages (e.g. a low crime rate, low taxes). Cheyenne is also located within several hours drive of many scenic areas along the Front Range where outdoor activities (skiing, hiking, camping and fishing) may be pursued.
Qualifications: Accredited JD degree and three years law library experience, preferably in law library open to the public. An accredited Master of Library Science degree is desirable and may substitute for library experience.
Salary: $45,000.
(Please Note: Wyoming does not currently have a state personal income tax)
Benefits include: Fully funded retirement of 11.25% of monthly salary (fully vesting after 4 years of service); 12 days annual leave; 9 holidays; 12 days sick leave; and $301 towards the state health insurance program.
