Kath--
We can't. I've never been able to devise a method to determine that the
pages are properly filed within any given set. We correct errors as readers
find them when they use the sets.
All we do is check to see that we've filed update #101 before we file #102.
We mark any missing on the checklist and we don't file any more updates
until we've claimed, received, and filed the missing pages.
I'd be interested in knowing if anyone has devised a workable solution for
measuring accuracy within looseleafs. In the old days (circa 1985), we'd
buy new "insides" every 3d or 4th year (CCH used to charge about $100 for a
4 volume set) and I felt that that was the best way to correct filing
errors.
State statute and code sets are easier; we check them annually as we file
the pocket parts.
If they are correct as of that date, we ASSUME they are good until we check
again when the next annual supplements arrive.
