ALTERNATIVE TO "PLATT'S COAL OUTLOOK/TRADER"

If anyone is experiencing problems with their "Platt's Coal Trader"
(previously the "Coal Outlook"), we may have found an alternative.
Publishers of the "Coal Daily" allow as many trial subscriptions as you
need. We will give it a try to see if it is a viable alternative to the
Platt's subscription. Platt's is now owned by McGraw-Hill and they have
informed us (in contradiction to first year law school copyright laws) that
we may not print even one file copy of the email subscription. They have
also inserted cookies (which embed and remain in our network computer
system) to track the routing of the online subscription for violations of
their "no-routing policy". We feel these cookies are a violation of our
system security and the "no copying even 1 print version" is just too much.
The $1200 subscription is just not worth it. If you would like to try the
$895 "Coal Daily", feel free to reply off-list and I will send you the phone
number for Larry at Energy Argus.
