Valparaiso University is a Lutheran-affiliated university
in Valparaiso, Indiana, a city of about 30,000 located in
northwest Indiana just south of Lake Michigan and one hour
southeast of Chicago. The School of Law has approximately
475 full-time students and a full-time faculty of 23. The
Law Library has a collection of over 300,000 volumes in
hardcopy and microform, and a staff of 6 FTE professional
librarians and 6 FTE support staff.

Requirements: An ALA-accredited M.L.S. and an
A.B.A.-accredited J.D. Prefer experience in a law library.
Excellent organizational and teaching skills, as well as
oral and written communication skills. Prefer proficiency
with various technologies including web authoring
and publishing tools. The position reports to the Law
Librarian (Director).

Responsibilities: A variety of professional duties which
include providing reference and research services to the
faculty, students, and staff of the law school using a
range of print and electronic information sources; teaching
legal research in both first year and advanced courses;
taking a major role in the Library's faculty liaison
program; and maintaining the Library web page. Work some
