Ok, this one just takes the cake. In January my assistant advised me that
we had never received CFR Title 12 Sections 600-End (all other sections had
arrived in the Spring of 2001). I got in touch with Bernan, who supplies
our CFR's, and they said that 600-End was on backorder, and that we would
get them as soon as they came in (we have 5 sets of the title).
I checked with the Atlanta GPO store, and they had them in stock, so I
politely contacted Bernan again and told them that since we are a BANK, the
BANKS AND BANKING title was very important for us to have and that I had
found the section available elsewhere, so cancel my order for the 5 copies
of 600-End for 2001, which they did.
TODAY from my New York office I received an invoice for their 6 copies of
Title 12, Parts 600-End, 2001. What came along with that invoice? An
invoice for Title 12 Parts 1-199 and 300-499 2002!!!!! I'm really sorry,
but if they've waited this long, they can wait until the 2002 600-end comes
out. Why in heck send out the old 2001 vols now, AND CHARGE FOR THEM THE
SAME PRICE AS IF THEY WERE NEW, when the 2002 issues are just around the
corner? I really wish I had known about the NY copies sooner, so it's
partially my fault, and I'm sure they've already been distributed, etc.,
(and Bernan's return policy isn't exactly customer friendly), but am I wrong
in feeling jipped here?
Thanks... I feel a little better...
