I had the same thing happened. I emailed out West Rep. who forwarded it to someone else who emailed me explaining that a subscription for the pocket Edition had been set up in error. She's cancelled the sub. and told us to keep the pocket Edition at no cost. Sounds like there are more problems for them than they realized.

I just received in the mail a package from West containing Black's Law Dictionary Second Pocket Edition, with the accompanying note saying:
As a subscriber to the Black's Law Dictionary family of products, we are pleased to provide on approval this portable, ......... etc. etc. etc.
The only Black's I have is Black's 7th, purchased in 1999 with no indication that it was part of a subscription.
The cost is not particularly high: $26.51, including tax (but no shipping and handling!?!?!?!). Still...
I'm going to be a good boy and return the book to the publisher, but this book certainly was unsolicited.
Sigh!
