Please excuse the duplication:
We have a significant number of web-based resources in our Virtual
Library. To keep things simple and so that our attorneys do not have to
remember user names and passwords, we are using IP authentication for some
of these resources. Our IS department is now concerned about the security
risks of IP authentication. I would like to know how many of you have been
using IP authentication and whether anyone has experienced any security
problems as a result. Please reply to me directly. If there is interest, I
will summarize the responses for the list. Many thanks.
