I have been trying to track down "industry standards" for companies that
manufacture respirators, ventilators, or other assisted breathing devices.
HOWEVER, I don't need technical standards -- I need financial ones, such as
"industry standard" profit and loss ratios, etc. It seems that industry
standards are generally promulgated by industry associations. I have so far
contacted: The Medical Device Mfrs. Assoc.; The Assoc for the Advancement
of Medical Instrumentation; and the Advanced Medical Technology Assoc.
None of these groups were able to help. I also contacted the FDA Center for
Devices and Radiological Health's library, but also got no help. I have
also done a basic wexis search, but came up empty.
If anyone can help point me anywhere, I would be forever grateful. Of
course, (and you can all say this in unison) it is a rush!
