A patron called and wanted to know if we had this book. We don't, but I
am wondering if anyone else does and if so, what you think of it? It is
called DownTime : A Guide to
Federal Incarceration by David Novak.
I looked it up on Amazon and their editorial comments said, "This 183
page spiral bound handbook is the single most comprehensive look at
inmate life within the federal Bureau of Prisons ever written.
Completely updated in March of 2001 the third edition of this popular
handbook incorporates up to date references to BOP policy and procedure.
This well researched book provides readers with a roadmap through the
bureaucracy we call the federal Bureau of Prisons. Readers are taken
through the criminal justice system from an individual's indictment
through their release from prison. A must have for any legal
professional, defendant or family exposed to the federal incarceration
process."
What are you thoughts on this? Is it worth a recommendation to my
collection development team?
Thanks!
Amy
