Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, a Milwaukee-based law firm, seeks a full-time
librarian to manage a branch office in Chicago. Our original Chicago office
is expanding as the result of a merger with two smaller firms. The ideal
candidate would have a Master of Library and Information Science from an ALA
accredited school and 1 to 2 years of relevant library experience in a law
or business library. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are
important.
Responsibilities include providing reference assistance to attorneys and
staff, Lexis, Westlaw, Dialog and Internet searching, working with vendors,
supervising a library assistant, and assisting with the orientation and
training of new attorneys and paralegals.
Salary is commensurate with experience. Benefits include medical, dental and
vision insurance, 40l(k) plan, retirement plan, flex benefit account.
