To everyone who responded many thanks.
Twenty four responses were received of which five were from librarians who
asked to have the results posted.
5 libraries stopped paper subscritions for F3rd, FedSupp, FRD, Bankruptcy
reporter, state and regional reporters, some kept the old volumes on the
shelves others took the old volumes out of the library, one library relied
a few years ago on CDRom products but more recently like the other rely on
Lexis, Westlaw or and Loislaw. No complaints were voiced by any of the
lawyers.
1 library had to keep only the Bankruptcy Reporter in hardcopy
2 libraries stopped paper copies of the regional and state reporters
2 libraries are moving slowly: eliminating in hardcopy one reporter at a
time
2 librarians made proposals to eliminate hardcopy reporters and the
proposals are moving forward
1 librarian did not get approval when proposed eighteen months ago to
remove or stop updating hardcopy reporters . The issue will be revisited
because space limitations
6 librarians are thinking about it.
