places to advertise jobs on the web for attorneys:
The Monster.com job search engine (http://jobsearch.monster.com) allows a job
seeker to specify a geographical region (California is broken down into 16
regions) and a job category (Legal). There is also a "Keyword" box where the
searcher could further customize the search (e.g. a keyword for a specific
practice area like ERISA). A search for "Legal" jobs in the "California-Los
Angeles" region yield more than 350 available jobs, from new admittees to
partners, as well as legal secretaries, paralegals, and file clerks.
A similar search capability, with an added function of choosing up to three
"Job Interest" identifiers, such as Attorney/General Counsel, Compliance, or
Consultant, is available by clicking on "legal channel” at Hotjobs.com
(http://www.hotjobs.com).
Law.com's Legal Career Center (http://www.lawjobs.com) features nearly 2000
legal job listings

Charges to employers listing jobs vary greatly from site to site, from no
charge at eAttorney or LawGuru.com to $95.00 for a 30 day listing at
LegalStaff.com to $295.00 per listing at Monster.com for "non-members".
Martindale-Hubbel/LexisOne charges subscribers $150 for a 30 day listing,
while non-subscribers pay $250 for the same listing. Martindale-Hubbell also
offers annual subscription and special premiere account rates. Law.com does
not post its ad rates, but offers to provide a quote on a case-by-case basis.
