Dear Law Firm Librarian:
This message was previously posted to other listservs, but I received only a
few replies. Please excuse the duplicate posting if you already received
the message.
Are you using Versuslaw, Loislaw.com or any other web-based legal research
database in lieu of or in addition to LEXIS and WESTLAW? If so, I would
like to know which web-based provider you are using and why, and if you
discontinued or limited access to LEXIS or WESTLAW when you started using
the web-based alternatives.
Also, if you are an Ohio law firm, do you know if your attorneys are using
Casemaker? Do you use it yourself? Are your attorneys suggesting that you
cut back on your LEXIS and WESTLAW usage/contracts because of Casemaker?
How do you respond to these suggestions?
I look forward to hearing from you soon. Please e-mail or call me. Thank
you.
Sincerely,
Beth A Langton, Director of Library Services
