I am looking for a relatively inexpensive basic text or guide that explains the U.S. Federal court system, and how cases go to trial and the appeal process...something that is even more basic than "Civil Practice in Nutshell." It is to be used by a new legal secretary or lay person just starting out in a law-related job. Any recommendations?
