I got the following suggestions:
1. If you don't get the response you need...I took a class on Paris and
Berlin in the 20s at Indiana University, Bloomington. The professor was
David Pace. That might be helpful!
2. You might want to try this:
http://www.legal-fiction.com/home.htm
"Welcome to Legal Fiction. We invite you to explore our site and learn how
we can help you accurately and effectively weave the
law into your screenplay, television script or novel"
3. Or you could try the Historical Mystery Home Page.
They list mystery and detective novels by time period. There's quite an
extensive listing for the 1920's

4. Have you heard of Anne Perry? She writes 2 mystery series, set in
England
at the turn of the century. (a little earlier than you asked, but I enjoy
her books). One of her series involves a detective named Monk, who
frequently works with an attorney and a nurse to solve cases. There are
often courtroom scenes at the end of the book - usually Monk spends time
with Hester, the nurse trying to find evidence to help the defendant, who
looks terribly guilty. And the attorney, whose name escapes me, does some
brilliant courtroom maneuvers to delay things until they can find the
evidence, or somehow figures out what to ask to solve the mystery.
