Help DEFINE Law Librarianship in the Twenty-first Century.

MENTOR: 1. A wise and trusted counselor or teacher [Latin Mentor, from Greek
Mentor, name
probably meaning "adviser," or "wise individual." 2. A close, trusted,
experienced guide. 3. A
committed and experienced Law Librarian, willing to help, and counsel, a
newer Law Librarian.

If you are interested in serving as a mentor, check out the AALL Mentor
Project Web Page at:
http://www.aallnet.org/committee/mentoring/mentor_project.html or contact
any members of the AALL Mentoring Committee. At our web page you will find
a complete description of the project, tips on how to be a successful
mentor, and an online registration form. Likewise, if you'd like to be put
in touch with a more experienced law librarian, to help you navigate the
occasionally rough waters of law librarianship, visit the web page and
register to be a mentee.

Still unsure? Check out the April 2000 issue of AALL Spectrum (v.4 no.7,
pp.30-34) and read about a mentor/mentee match in the article "AALL
Mentoring Program: How it Really Works" by Ruth Levor (Mentor) and Jessie
Cranford (Mentee).
