books & cd-roms/diskettes together

I guess this question is mostly for academic and public law
librarians. How do you handle the cd-roms and diskettes that come
packaged with many law books these days? Leave them with the
book on the shelf? Create a separate storage area in a secured
place? How do you indicate in the catalog, or the book itself, where
to find these additional items?
Please reply to me privately, and I will summarize for the list.
Thanks!
