Collection evaluation

Greetings all -

We are kicking off the new millenium with an evaluation of our existing
library collection by subject, format, publisher, etc. To fill any gaps
that have opened while we've been collecting "cyberlaw" materials, to make
sure we have collections strong enough to support budding curricula &
academic concentrations, that sort of thing. We've been going through the
"Recommended publications for legal and related fields," Ken Svengailis'
book, & other bibliographies and lists to make sure we have the core,
recommended, and/or "cutting edge" materials, depending on the subject.
We're also considering comparing our collections to larger research
collections -

I know that some folks have done this before us, and I was wondering if
anyone is willing to share their experiences, perhaps identify some
resources for evaluation (besides the ones mentioned), general resources,
game plan... anything would be appreciated.

You can reply to the list, or to me and I will summarize for the list.

Thanks again,
