A Friday Teaser

I know that this question is rather out of the ordinary, but it is late
Friday here in Melbourne. Furthermore, it was 39 Celsius here yesterday and
my brain is deep-fried !! Yesterday the wife of my eldest nephew gave birth
to a baby daughter, whom they have named "Charley". I have never come
across this name for a girl before, and wonder if others have. Does anyone
have a book of any sort that sheds light on the origin of the use of this
name as a girl's one ? I am intrigued, and would welcome any info at all.
Cheers :-)
