Please ignore my previous posting, as I have now succeeded in finding the
Act that I was seeking. The Act in question is the Protection Of Personal
Information In The Private Sector Act, which received the Royal Assent on
13 April 2000 and commenced operation on 01 January 2001. A copy of the Act
can be viewed on the Canadian Parliament's website at:-
