Although you can't tell by looking at the official brochure, SCALL
members Amber Lee Smith, Cindy Chick and Carole Levitt are all
presenting at LegalWorks Los Angeles this coming Tuesday, Oct. 24th.
Amber and Carole will be speaking at 8:30 A.M. at the "Law Librarians
Workshop" . Amber will focus on finding
international and foregin law resources (web and print) and I will focus
on how to keep current with Internet issues and hot new legal sites.

providing a
continental breakfast.
Carole will be substituting in for Cindy Chick at 2 P.M. on October
24 at "Cybersleuthing on the Web" (and ditching out on the 3:45 P.M.
program where I am listed). Cindy remains on the
3:45 program, "Supercharged Legal Research". The Cybersleuthing seminar
will focus on how to find information about people (Craig Ball) and
companies (Carole
Levitt). If you attended the Law Librarians Workshop
last year, you may want to skip my Cybersleuthing presentation--it's
very similar. But, Craig's presentation sounds fascin-
ating, so do come at least to hear him. He'll be digging up dirt on
people at the seminar!
Following my presentation last year, I attended many of the seminars.
If last year's programs are any
indication, you don't want to miss this year's.
