here are my usual stats of what returning usc law students who worked in
legal settings in summer 2000 said they used for information sources. a
little over 40 students responded to the survey.
looking closely at the raw data this year i noticed a difference between
what students who worked in a law firm used vs what students who worked in
non law firm legal settings used (non law firm settings being clerking for
a judge, in DAs offices, for atty general, etc.)
1. law students working in law firms (mainly firms of at least 50 attys
and many for the largest firms in la.)
8% used mainly books
15% used mainly computers
77% used books and computers
2. law students working in non law firm legal settings.
6% used mainly books
30% used mainly computers
64% used books and computers
