O'Melveny & Myers LLP, an international law firm, has an immediate opening
for a Reference Librarian in our New York Office.
Duties for this position include performing specialized legal and non-legal
research, teaching formal and one-on-one classes, developing instructional,
marketing and user support materials as well as other administrative duties
which include collection development and evaluation of products.
The qualified candidate must have a minimum of two years library experience,
preferably in a law firm/legal setting. Familiarity with Lexis, Westlaw,
Internet, Dialog and other major databases ideal. Four year college and MLS
degrees are required. Must be able to work well in a fast paced
environment, with frequent deadlines. Excellent communication,
organizational and communication skills also required.
