I should have included my source in the first email.

http://www.shakespeare.com/FirstFolio/

This site does not yet contain Shakespeare's poetry.

Subject: RE: Quote: "Lawless are they..." - Further Thoughts

"These are my mates, that make their wills their law" is a rather different
statement than "Lawless are they that make their wills their law" !!
Whilst the passage in Two Gentlemen Of Verona is certainly similar, the
fact remains that the "Lawless are they....etc" quotation appears in *many*
many "Quotations" sites on the web - always attributed to Shakespeare - but
always without any reference to the particular work from which it is
supposed to come. The "These are my mates" version does not appear
anywhere, as far as I can tell - and I searched in AltaVista, Google,
Surfwax, All The Web, Northern Light and Anzwers. I wouldn't be totally
satified that the correct answer to Susan Szymula's specific question has
yet been found. This is a job for 007 !!
