Greetings Law-libbers,
Situation:
I have been asked to obtain full text copies of articles from various
obscure (at least from a law firm librarian's perspective) social science
journals. I tried Lexis and Dialog already with out success.
I have found libraries that carry the materials, but they are all academic.
I have tried contacting a few today, but am not having much luck finding
ones that would be willing to send materials (under any circumstances) to a
nonmember of their institution. Ironically enough, the attorney is
willing to pay for the related costs.
The titles being sought are:
The American Economic Review
The Journal of Industrial Economics
The Journal of Political Economy
Public Finance Review
Economic Inquiry
Journal of Economic Behavior & organization
I realize that OCLC is not comprehensive, but it is the only method I know
of to "target" libraries who may be able to assist me.
My Questions:
I know this must come up for at least a few of you - what do you do when
faced with this type of situation?
Does anyone know of a good document delivery service for these types of
publications? (If so could you please email/contact me with the name and
phone number or website?)
As always, thanks in advance. I will sincerely appreciate any insights or
suggestions that you anyone can provide regarding my (current) dilemma.
