Part-Time Legal Reference Librarian

Covington & Burling, a law firm founded in 1919 with over 350 attorneys, is seeking a part-time reference librarian for its D.C. office. Will perform legal, business and other law-related research as required by lawyers, paralegals, clients and others. Will perform online searches using a variety of sources. Will assist and train library users in use of all library resources, including Internet and CDROMs.
Qualifications:
· Masters Degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited school required.
· J.D. from ABA accredited school preferred
· Must have 2-3 years experience in law firm library.
· Must have demonstrated competence in legal and business research.
· Must be familiar with Lexis/Nexis, Westlaw, Dow Jones, Dialog and use of the Internet for legal and non-legal research.
· Must be able to learn new online and Internet research tools quickly.
· Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
· Must be able to work well under pressure and set priorities.

This position is available immediately.
Salary range: $28,320-$42,480. Job is currently 30 hours per week.
