I am trying to locate a newly passed bill (May 23, 2000) from the Japanese
House of Representatives that deals with investor protection, relating to
sales of various financial products. I have found a few articles which
report this, but I need either the bill in English or a really detailed
summary, also in English.
I have searched Lexis and Dowvision for articles. I have also gone onto the
Web, and found bazillion links to all sorts of Japanese info, including
Findlaw and a really extensive list of links from Tohoku University Law
Faculty, but nothing on point. I even got to the National Diet Website,
where I could take a video tour if I wanted to, but I didn't see anything
about recently enacted bills.
If someone has done this sort of thing before, and can point me to a source,
I would be most grateful!
