Hello,
I was wondering if anybody out there could help me find out if Mexico currently
has a law in force, or if they have signed a treaty, or if they belong to an
international organization, that prevents or restricts Mexican citizens from
investing money in the Cayman Islands and other tax-free havens. I believe it
may have something to do with anti-money laundering. I have run searches on
Lexis in their international materials, treaties, law reviews and news. I have
searched international materials on the internet. I have checked our firms
collection of international securities laws. I have called the Mexican Embassy
in Washington DC and have yet to get an answer. Does anybody have any
additional suggestions?
Thanks,
