Hi,
I'm working with a faculty member who is writing about an airplane
accident. The lawyers involved, of course, can't speak openly about
settlement talks or ultimate figures. But, we'd like to have some idea
how out-of-court settlements in aircraft accidents are usually negotiated,
and have some idea of the size (i.e. what would be a "large" settlement?)
-- especially the estimation of psychic-damages for survivors.
I'm curious if anyone knows of a starting-point source to pursue these
questions.
