I in turn would like to pass along kudos for this week's coup in law
librarian publishing, Fred Shapiro's utter domination of the Jan. 2000
issue (vol. 29, no. 1, pt 2) of the prestigious Journal of Legal Studies.
Three articles in a row. One article would be impressive, two would be
remarkable. What we have here is the fastest hat trick since March 23,
1952, when the Blackhawks' Bill Mosiensko scored three goals in 21 seconds.
Also featured in this issue, a symposium on interpreting legal citations,
is an article coauthored (with some other guy named Fred) by AALL member
and erstwhile librarian Virginia Wise.
