For those of you in academic law libraries who rely on student workers
(isn't that everyone?) to staff your library, I would appreciate knowing how
much you pay them. With the tight labor market and the local fast food
places paying between $8.25 and $10.00 per hour, I was wondering what it
would take from a salary standpoint to hire a competent core of student
workers when our new library opens in August of this year. Apparently, the
days of only paying minimum wage for student workers is over.
I will be glad to summarize for the list if there is an interest.
Thanking all of you in advance,
