Has anyone asked Mr. Wasserman about what happened?

I am posting the following message for someone who does not subscribe to
Law-Lib. With all due respect to the very real concern about viruses
transmitted on the Internet, the library staff at Sheppard, Mullin wanted to
let Law-Lib know that Steve Wasserman is a respected and appreciated
professional here in Los Angeles and would never have intentionally posted a
message with a virus.

To those of you who have been so kind as to take the time from your busy
schedules to enter into heated discussions about who is and is not a
Librarian, ILL requests as inappropriate postings, and to excoriate Mr.
Wasserman for inadvertently passing a virus - I wonder if you would share
with the list-serv your time management secrets that allow you those extra
hours each week to post your carefully crafted messages.

As many of you may remember, a significant portion of the ILL storm of last
month centered on the idea that simple ILL requests should be sent to
professional research retrieval services. Mr. Wasserman is a highly
regarded provider of just such services here in Los Angeles. It is
inconceivable that Steve would intentionally alienate his clientele this
way.

As this is only my second posting to LAW-LIB (the first being a suggestion
for affixing spine labels) I believe the following quote by our great
nation's Second President, Mr. John Adams, is in order:

"By my physical constitution I am but an ordinary man... Yet some great
events, some cutting expressions, some mean hypocrisies, have at times
thrown this assemblage of sloth, sleep, and littleness into rage like a
lion"
