BNA's M&A Law Report on the Web

A professor here at Miami's law school is most anxious to have access to
BNA's Mergers and Acquisitions Law Report on the Web which is available
through "lexis.com." Our Lexis rep explained that access is by user
name and Lexis ID and that some re-programming of passwords is
necessary.

We placed our order on Friday, March 17th. Our Lexis rep said that once
he place the order, he would be able to tell us what the turn-around
time might be. I have been calling our rep most every day and am being
told that "some programming is involved" and he will let us know when
everything has been set up.

It's now three weeks later and we still have no idea of when the 5
designated passwords will be activated. I have tried calling our rep's
supervisor (no call back) and have spoken with our rep's assistant on
several occasions. I have spoken with people "further up the food
chain" in customer service and actually did get a call back from them.
They were able to locate our order, but the person in charge of
programming had left for the day. That was two days ago.

Any advice from my colleagues? Has anyone else purchased this joint
BNA/Lexis Web product? I'm beginning to wonder if UM is the first
"customer" for this venture.

Please respond privately to me. If there is an interest, I will post
responses and problem resolution to the list. Thanks.
