REFERENCE / ELECTRONIC SERVICES LIBRARIAN
Creighton University Law Library seeks a dynamic individual for the
position of Reference / Electronic Services Librarian. The person in
this position actively participates in providing legal reference
services to approximately 25 law faculty, 450 law students;
teaches one or two small sections of Legal Research, a first-year,
required course; maintains the law library web page; oversees the law
student computer facilities, and coordinates automation development
in the law library. Working at the reference desk one evening per
week and one-half day every sixth Saturday, when the school is in
session, is required.
Qualifications: Accredited J.D. and M.L.S. At least
three years experience in a law library, or equivalent experience,
may be subtituted for the M.L.S. Experience with web
page development and maintenance, an enthusiam for teaching and
experience providing reference assistance using both legal and
non-legal sources is expected. Strong organizational, communication
and collaborative skills are required. Desirable: Law Library
experience, teaching experience, supervisory experience and
familiarity with Novell Netware or other LAN technology in a
law school setting.
