Last week I wrote asking what happened to the series
"Oliver Wenell Holmes Devise History of the Supreme Court of the United
States."
I received 2 interesting responses from Susan Charkes &
Sandy Keller. The online Syracuse University magazine for Winter 99-00
has an article by Professor William Wiecek stating he was working on
the years 1941 - 1953 but estimated it would take 3 more years.

The Federal Budget for FY 2000 says
"Oliver Wendell Homes Devise Fund.--The Oliver Wendell Holmes Devise
Fund and, the permanent committee for the Oliver Wenell Holmes
Devise to administer it, were created by an act of Congress,
approved August 5, 1955 (69 Stat. 533).
