I am a public librarian who is considering changing careers to law
librarianship (court or firm, not academic). I would really appreciate any
information/advice on how to proceed. I assume I will need some special
training (haven't used LEXIS or Westlaw since library school 5 years ago),
but how to get it? I can't afford the time/cost of getting a JD, but should
I just enroll in a legal research course? What kind of salary can I expect
at an entry level? Do you work weekends/evenings? What is the best way to
learn of job openings? Please reply to me personally, as I'm sure no one
else on this list needs this advice! Thank you so much.
