ACCESS SERVICES LIBRARIAN
The Los Angeles county Law Library has an opening for an Access Services
Librarian at the Librarian II grade. This is a new position. Duties include the
management and supervision of the daily operations of the Circulation Section,
media services, stack maintenance, interlibrary loan and document delivery
services; administration of the circulation module of the Endeavor Voyager
system in the Main Library; planning for the implementation of the circulation
system into the Branch Libraries and administration of the system when
implemented; some Saturday and rotating holiday work required; evening work
required as needed. Minimum Qualifications: ALA accredited MLS; three (3)
years of increasingly responsible experience in public services as a professional
librarian, including working knowledge of library automation systems, especially
circulation modules; demonstrated managerial ability; strong public services
orientation. Salary: $39,840-$48,420 with excellent benefits, including parking.
The Los Angeles County Law Library is one of the great law libraries of the united
States with extensive collections of American law, including all states and
possessions, and one of the finest foreign and international law collections in the
country. The Main Library and nine Branch Libraries contain 780,000 volumes
plus microforms and digital resources.
