Dear all:

At my school (Western Kentucky University), there is an intellectual property
committee. Every component college of the university has a representative,
including the library. Since I have a law degree, I am the library's
representative. This means that any questions about copyright can start with
me. If I need to, I will refer them to the entire committee.

Most large schools have some sort of an intellectual property office or
committee. I like the idea of the committee, especially having a library
representative. It makes sense for that person to either be the head of
reference (as I am), or else the government documents librarian.

Well, I have to go. The Intellectual Property Committee is meeting in 15
minutes. . .
