desperate) I thought I'd give it one more try. Thanks for your patience.
I have reference to something that I believe may be in Opinions of the ICC
Banking commission on Queries Relating to Uniform Customs and Practice for
Documentary Credits, 1995-1996 (ICC Pub. No. 565). Not available in any
local libraries and ICC Publishing in NY is out of stock and will have to
order from Paris. Can't wait. The reference I have is "ICC Doc. 4707GE.42
of 22 Aug. 1995." The opinion probably deals with art. 13 of UCP500 and may
have to do with an error in the letter of credit number noted on an invoice.
The date may be the most reliable search point--there are marginal notes to
the opinions that typically say, e.g., "Meeting on 22 Aug. 1995 ICC
documents nnn/nnn, xxx/xxx."
If anyone has this publication and can find an opinion that somehow fits
this description, I would be very grateful for a copy at your earliest
convenience.
