I have been asked to obtain some information about the symbol of balanced
scales and the law. Also, how did the statute of the woman, blindfolded,
holding a sword in one hand and the scales in her other hand, portray
justice? Does anyone have information as to how this all came to be
associated with the legal profession? I used to know the full story, but
alas, years of not needing that information has made full retrieval
impossible.
