Dear Colleagues,

According to Reuters, Reed International Plc said in London on February
1, 2000 that its U.S. subsidiary Matthew Bender & Co Inc has filed suit
against Jurisline.com LLC. Matthew Bender complains that Jurisline
sought to use Matthew Bender products in developing a legal information
service in breach of contract restrictions. Jurisline had signed
licences for one Matthew Bender product.

Going the other way, Jurisline has sued Reed Elsevier Inc, a fellow
subsidiary of Matthew Bender, for declaratory relief relating to
copyrights and trademarks, and for damagages based on alleged
anti-competitive practices.
