    Korea Basic Science Institute (KBSI) is now offering several Senior Research Scientist positions to PhD scientists with postdoctoral experience.

    KBSI, which was established in 1988 by the Korean Government, is aiming for a world class user-oriented collaboratory in basic science, especially empasized on Bio-technology (BT) and Nano-technology (NT) area. Please look at the President's Message on KBSI homepage (http://www.kbsi.re.kr/2001/english/ and also http://www.kbsi.re.kr).

    For the purpose, we are currently looking for several Senior Research Scientists in the following BT and NT areas :

    (1) Cellulomics team - chairman position and a senior research scientist position. Major in cellular signaling on human disease area using cellular and molecular biology tools.
    (2) Bio-imaging team - chairman position and a senior research scientist position at the Chuncheon Branch of KBSI (located in Kangwon National Univesity). Can be jointly appointed with Kangwon National Univesity as adjunctive professor. Major in research areas using Multiphoton microscope, Functional-/ MIcro-CT, Electron cryotomograph, PET, EPR and etc.
    (3) Bio-NMR team - senior research scienctists who want to conduct research in protein structure using 800 and 900 MHz NMR which will be installed in KBSI soon.
    (4) Bio-Mass spectrometer team - senior research scientists who want to conduct research in high throughput proteomics using MALDI-TOF, Q-TOF, Ion-trap, MALDI-TOF-TOF, and FT-ICR Mass spectrometer.
    (5) Bio-Electron Microscopy team - chaiman position. Major in bio-molecular structure using 400 KV liquid helium Elecron Microscope and 1,300 KV liquid nitrogen High Voltage Elecron Microscope.
    (6) Metabolomics team - chairman position at Seoul branch of KBSI (located in Korea University). Major in metabolite profiling and/or metabolic engineering.
    (7) Bio-instrumentation team - chairman position and a senior research scientist position. Major in instrumentation on research areas of NMR, MRI, MS, EM, CLSM and any creative instruments etc.
    (8) Nano-technology (NT) team - chairman position and a senior research scientist position. Major in nano structure analysis with nanosynsthesis, nanofabrication, nanoprocessing, nano-biotechnology.

    The successful candidates should have an outstanding research record. Applicants must have a Ph.D. with postdoctoral experience and fulfill the requirements on recent publications with first author papers in highly ranked SCI journals.
