Hi, All: We now have over 300 subscribers to the IAMSLIC e-mail
discussion list!
As you may already know, upon list manager approval, we do allow
non-members to subscribe to the IAMSLIC list. If you know someone who is
thinking of joining IAMSLIC, you may invite them to try out our discussion
list. The instructions are all on the IAMSLIC website at
http://www.iamslic.org/about/listproc.html
Just a reminder: Our e-mail list is publicly archived on the web.
This means that all archived IAMSLIC e-mail discussion list messages are
publicly accessible by any Web search engine.
Lenora and I will be consulting with the IAMSLIC Executive Board
concerning guidelines for removing subscribers from the IAMSLIC e-mail
list. Judging from the multitude of error messages your list managers
receive, there are several current IAMSLIC list subscribers who have NOT
received an IAMSLIC e-mail message in *months* for a variety of reasons
including:
* the subscriber's server or some part of their address has changed and
the old one is defunct
* the subscriber's e-mail service refuses large e-mail from lists
(especially ones with attachments) or e-mails from certain addresses
* the subscriber's inbox is full and cannot take any more messages
