MaryJane went to Goose Hummock shop in Orleans near me to scout
out our fun. Friday would be our best shot for we could postpone if the
weather is too rough, until Sat.

I asked for a tour depending on tide, weather and wildfowl migration
patterns. They have trailers and could handle up to 18, though I told
them 7-10 would be most likely. They liked that. Kayak rentals depend
upon whether it is a single or double. We can work that out. $55 per
person gets: individual kayak, paddle, life jacket, introductory
session for beginners and guide/teacher. Very good this last, it is
where I learned. Your resumes impressed: I said-'Ask them anything
about the coastal zone'. (There may be fights to see who guides us.
Rick has a degree in Marine Biology and really wants to meet you.)

Basically, this is a 4 hour tour. If we can schedule on Friday, I
expect there will be some elasticity to this schedule. Nauset Marsh,
adjacent to the National Seashore headquarters is a hop skip from my
house and is a rich migrantory site as well as historial (Verizzano
    found it).

There may be cheaper places and I will continue to look, but I know
these folk operate off season (Well, year round because they also go to
Costa Rica in the winter.) They are movers and shakers in the
establishment of the projected Cape Cod/Atlantic kayak trail. I do
truly think they are reliable, commited people who will see to it that
we have the best available conditions when you are here.

There are single and dual kayaks. Those who are beginners and would
feel free partnered, this is possible.

Taking a poll about who would like more kayaking (weather permitting),
whale watches, or whatever on land.

MaryJane also says that there are lots of activities on Fridays and
Saturdays for those who aren't into kayacking. Fridays are big "estate"
day sales and Saturdays are rummage sales. That weekend is
Wellfleet Oyster Festival weekend. There are lots of lovely beaches,
    nature reserves and parks nearby.

    Kathy
