    Greetings, Izuchukwu Ude --

I am the librarian at the Skidaway Institute of Oceanography. Your
request for help has been forwarded to me by many people here. It was
not clear from your message whether you wanted to borrow or receive
books as gifts. If those to whom you sent your emails wish to donate
books to you, that is between you and them.

I am assuming those forwarding your messages to me are doing so because
senders believe you want to borrow the books. Let me explain to you how
the American interlibrary loan system works.

Whether you are in the next town to the lending library, or half way
across the world, libraries inter-lend only to libraries, not
directly to individuals, so we would need something from the nearest
library to you vouching for your reputation as a patron in good standing
and asking for the loan, etc. There is an official form known by
    professional librarians for this communication.

I will mention that I've looked up your university on the internet, and
    I find this information:

Enugu State University of Science and Technology
         Private Mail Bag 01660, Enugu
         Telephone: +234 (42) 451244, 451319, 451253
         Fax: +234 (42) 335705, 455705
         University Librarian: Dr N Ene

Have you consulted with your librarian(s)? If not, your first step
    should be there.

    Good luck with your projects!

    Elizabeth Cooksey, Librarian
