Canadian Pharmacies Offer Deal to U.S. Druggists
Seeking to forge ties with health professionals on U.S. soil, some
Canadian Internet pharmacies are offering American pharmacists a sweet deal.
Druggists in the U.S. who agree to refer prescriptions to their Canadian
counterparts are being promised a handsome cut, sometimes 5 percent to
10 percent of the price of each prescription, experts say. That's often
more than the nation's independent pharmacists pocket, after expenses,
when they fill the prescriptions themselves.
