    Dear FIAT Friends,

            Inspired by the recent posts by Professors Walters, Graham,
    and Matthews, I've decided to make "Journalism and Technology" the
    opening topic covered by this afternoon's "Dr. Andy's Poetry and
    Technology Hour." Rex Babin, editorial cartoonist for The Sacramento
    Bee, will be my guest; he'll talk about the old-fashioned tools and
    practices of his work, even though he stays as "wired," he says, as
    everyone else at the Bee. If interested and able, please tune in
    this afternoon from 5-6 to KDVS, 90.3 FM. I also welcome your
    comments and questions at 752-2777.
