That's the key selling point. Other Digital-8 users have told me that
analogue 8 can be controlled via firewire and digitized into the computer.
However, my testing has revealed that it only handles the stereo AFM
track. The PCM track (which is the primary set of tracks used by Pro Hi8
gear) is ignored on Digital 8 gear.
